Eligibility Requirements

To enrol in pre-licensing education, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Provide valid government-issued identification (ID)
  • Have a minimum of Canadian high school education (or equivalent)
  • Provide proof of English language proficiency

Applicants who do not meet these requirements are not eligible to proceed with licensing.

Industries You Can Be Licensed In

RECA regulates the following industries in Alberta:

  • Real Estate
    • (Residential, Commercial, Property Management, Rural)
  • Condominium Management
  • Mortgage Brokering

Each industry has its own education and licensing requirements.
