Advertising Guidelines for Licensees
As a licensed real estate, mortgage, or property management professional, how you promote yourself and your services matters. RECA has clear requirements to ensure that all advertising is accurate, honest, and transparent.
What Counts as Advertising?
Advertising includes any activity, public notice, or representation that promotes you or your services. This can be done by you directly, or by someone acting on your behalf.
Examples include:
- Online listings or social media posts
- Print ads in newspapers or magazines
- Email marketing campaigns
- Signs, flyers, or brochures
- Videos or other media promoting your services
The key principle: anything that draws attention to your services or expertise is considered advertising.
